The Conservative Hairdresser | J. Ash Gamble

I am forced to listen
as she shears me and trims me.
She tells me about her
mess-ups, her husband (ex),
and how Obama is ruining
the universe, and I wonder
how long before the sound
of clippers may dull her
voice and allow me to
escape into the sound
of sports reporting television.
