The Lemon Twist | Ken Allan Dronsfield

Lemonade flows from
a mounted fountain
by chocolate diamond
rivers of peaceful rain.
Honey drops blissful
of sweet or sour kisses,
the dew faeries dance
operas of fruit romance.
Coveted roses outside
the hazy open window,
sweet summertime winds
gently sway pines in rhyme.
A corncob pipe smolders by
the bowl of lemon twists and
essence of a peppermint taffy
await a night of the jovial folly.
