Yet the Debate Continues | NilavroNill Shoovro

It is dusk
Not yet dark
Like the north sky
Stars are preparing
For the evening conference

She will walk along with her love
At anytime for their rendezvous
With a red rose in one hand
The other hand will remain free

Although the evening is special
Also for the stars
As they are gearing up
For the heated debate

The lovers have no idea
About these developments
They are so composed
In their secrecy

Eyes remain locked
Desires are dancing
With mutual understanding
They are so familiar with

Yet the debate
Continues without
Any conclusion
About love and desire

She is now glowing hot
The vowels start humming
Pages of histories-
Unfolding secret stories

It grows darker
Stars are now very agitated
She starts to unfold her alphabets
The primordial Womb
Will take over soon

Overqualified | Ivan Jenson - A Poetry Website Featuring Poems by Contemporary Poets

Overqualified | Ivan Jenson

I am being groomed
to be entombed
it happens every night
when I lay down
and cross my hands
over my chest
like my grandfather did
when he napped
and like a graduate of life
in death I will be
black-capped
and buried
deep with my diploma
and ready
to submit my resumé
which will be
whatever the heck
my gravestone
words will say
and as for me
I will be hired
by the HR department
of eternity

A Dazzling Dream | Alexis Karpouzos - A Poetry Website Featuring Poems by Contemporary Poets

A Dazzling Dream | Alexis Karpouzos

Our life a dazzling dream and the death a new arrival,
there is no end and never was a begginning.
Thousand centuries will gone and will leave faint signs
in the breaths of time, thousand suns will light up
and will burst and unexpected visitors
will come and will gone,
but something innate in us knows,
we were, we are, and will be forever,
a timeless gentle touch in eternity’s face.
