Framed in Perception | Judy Moskowitz

I ask for your approval
You look back at me with
Two black holes of dilated pupils
Reading my every thought
Every feature and facial plane
In reverse and irreversible
Distorting fiction into fact
Even a pool’s reflection
Or a simple piece of glass
Controlling perception
With every glance I take
It’s judgment day
A mirror’s reflection

Dirty Underwear | Michael Marrotti - A Poetry Website Featuring Poems by Contemporary Poets

Dirty Underwear | Michael Marrotti

For the love
of a god
who doesn’t
exist
Why must I
give to receive
Push to pull
Cut not to feel
Live life my way
when it’s
reprehensible
in the eyes
of the ignorant
Misguided
and
content
The use
of their
pointy
righteous
fingers
long for
a victim
all to avoid
the silence
Gossip
is chapped lips
flapping
in polluted air
Punctured lungs
Dirty underwear
