Your Light | Lynn Long - A Poetry Website Featuring Poems by Contemporary Poets

Your Light | Lynn Long

You…
Are a star shining bright
I am earth, forever bound
to gaze upon your light

And I have seen your soul
In all my dreams
Pure as the snow
on moonlit beams

And I have loved you…
All of time
Knowing always,
you were never mine…

For I am the wind,
the rain and ocean tides
And you- you are the
golden dawn of sunrise

Still, I whisper
your name into the night
and make a wish for you,
my star, my light

Let There Be | Dah - A Poetry Website Featuring Poems by Contemporary Poets

Let There Be | Dah

Light’s eye / sky-hung /
boundless eyelashes,
prisms …

mountains leap high
into thunderstorms / lightning
feeds the starving dark.

Let there be …

At dawn we wake, climbing
daylight / to be witness,
to be human

inside this vent-hole we’ve
named: Life: Suffering:
when light spills

gulp it down
ten-million times more
until you sparkle
