Two Gushes of Passion | Lateef Shareef Dhmayd

1
I’m Sinbad
I’ll come to take you on my raft
To the land of magic and diamonds,
my land, where you’ll reign
as the sole queen
I’ll pay you my homage and attribute
And stand by thee
To fan you with my feather fan
and wipe every drop of sweat
that may run on your soft rosy cheeks
and before you retire to bed
I’ll claim your delicious lips
with a hot and ever felt kiss.
2
What can I say of you?
You are the words and the pen?
You are the rose in its maximum bloom.
Not only one Adam if you wink is fallen.
Elysium is total alienation
if you are banished from
How many a racer has his life lost
just to have you by him been touched
you are not only a blissful abode
You are the dream and its becoming true.

Life Is Personal | Lehr Niazi - Read Poetry Online by Talented Contemporary Poets

Life Is Personal | Lehr Niazi

The moments, those lost, lost forever,
But in heart, we forget them never.
Dare to face life, blood not be low,
If the hurdles are more, better to be slow.
Controversies of life, solve in time,
Before they may become a crime.
Never can catch again, the moment lost,
We are slow but life is very fast.
Don’t disturb anyone, enjoy your spring,
Life is personal, everyone is king.

May I Dream of You | Lynn Long - Read Poetry Online by Talented Contemporary Poets

May I Dream of You | Lynn Long

May I dream of you
before I wake
May I feel your love
as the dawn breaks
In peaceful slumber
I wait for you
To hold me close
To feel my truth
For our love exists
amid the stars
In celestial wonder
and worlds afar
Across the distance
of space and time
A parallel universe
within my mind
In vulnerability
love transcends
In euphoric harmony
we begin
Our souls immortal
as we become one
Your heart is the
portal to my love
undone
So…
May I dream of you
before I wake
May I feel your love
as the dawn breaks

I Love You | Sinethemba Simlindile Bhila - Read Poetry Online by Talented Contemporary Poets

I Love You | Sinethemba Simlindile Bhila

I love you with my heart
I feel melancholic to see you
Disregarding me
I love you
Please just understand
Give me enough time to show you
How much I love you
Never think i want to break your heart
Never think i want to play with you
I want to you true love
I am the type of a boy you think i am
I am here to put you in my warm hands

I love you!
I love you !
I love you!

Her Story Continues… | Samridhi - Read Poetry Online by Talented Contemporary Poets

Her Story Continues… | Samridhi

Even though she knew what will it turn around,
Where will it end, where will she drown …
Still,
Sings the tiny moth,..Swinging her wings ,
Just to remind ‘fire’ about her nemesis…
wandering around the way of fire,
feeble ‘little moth’ in her vain desire …
though it might turn it into cause less ash ,
or will burn ‘her’ leaving no flesh …

People as ‘Time Ticking Bombs’ | Pushmaotee Subrun - Read Poetry Online by Talented Contemporary Poets

People as ‘Time Ticking Bombs’ | Pushmaotee Subrun

People as ‘time ticking bombs’
Destroying the sanity of people
Or even leading them earlier to their tombs,
Making a mess of life, like a mass of rubble.

Guarantee of love,
Next to impossible.
Live without love
Not conceivable.

Sail on high winds?
Love has ups and downs,
And, though blowing away the mind,
Resort to therapy to calm down.

Therapy, what therapy?
When with tormenting rejection you are crossed?
Will anything else make you happy?
When the brain is tempest tossed?

Well, love is a roller coaster.
Who can doubt it
Though it can become your destiny’s master?
So, the ride is what you make of it.

Faultless Love | Daphedine - Read Poetry Online by Talented Contemporary Poets

Faultless Love | Daphedine

No word can utter the most descriptive and created love we share
How can a man be so wise but yet foolish when it comes to the heart?
For he never felt a love such as this
A love that carves its perfect sculpture
Surpasses all flaws and human understanding
It blooms within all its mistakes, brokenness and fear
It does not rectify but emige understanding
It desires to mend the heart
Resurrecting the good and destroying the bad

Tales I Tell My Children | Jenny Middleton - Read Poetry Online by Talented Contemporary Poets

Tales I Tell My Children | Jenny Middleton

Fairy realms linger; longings whispered to a child.
Heads full of hoods and wolves howl lonely on a moor,
While the yellowed pages guide a brittle mossed path
Back to bedtimes beyond and freshly buoyant
With my own children’s chatter and clutter of stairs
Climbed. And I the teller now light incantations
Of darkness and of the hovering dreams
Freshly born tonight, ancient and again new
Brimming with technicolour misty murmurs
Laid through the years so we bite again apples
Snow White’s blood red lips knew and poison kissed.
And feel Rapunzel’s starry, salty tears stray
To cure princely eyes and cut our own computer
Devised reality to size.
Dark comforts offered word by voice in these tales
Ensconce us; wrapping pain and reality in duvets
And towel damp hair; all beauty filtered to our bleary
Beds and so it is the children sleep.

Playful Love | Lakmi - Read Poetry Online by Talented Contemporary Poets

Playful Love | Lakmi

My thoughts they wander
Stroll, meander
Toward the warmth
of your kiss
Like a playful toddler
That will not behave
It runs toward your bliss

I want to be a bubbling river
And flow into you
The ocean calm and deep
I want to be a flower
And open up to you
The sunlight kissing my cheeks
I want to be a reflection
Of all you see
And live within your eyes
I want to be the one
For whom you write poetry
be the one on your mind
