Life and Death | El Sane Ken Silencer - Read Poetry Online by Talented Contemporary Poets

Life and Death | El Sane Ken Silencer

Whenever I think about life,
I remember nothing but death
whenever I remember death
I think about nothing but life…
Life is life…
Life is about living
and life is also about dying
Death is death…
It is he who is alive that will die
and it is he who will die that’s alive
Not life created in nimiety
That’s why death takes to eternity
They are created for each of them…
When there is life
There will be death
And when there’s death
There has existed life.

Pure Genius | Kenneth Vincent Walker - Read Poetry Online by Talented Contemporary Poets

Pure Genius | Kenneth Vincent Walker

Pure genius never questions
Nor has to explain why, but is
Driven to excellence on a

Spiritual, emotional, and a
Hypothetical high.
On a daily basis they ride the

Waves propelling pure genius
From the mundane, which
Enslaves the uncreative, and

Drives them insane.
When all is said and done it is
Pure genius which remains.

Montejo | Alberto Quero - Read Poetry Online by Talented Contemporary Poets

Montejo | Alberto Quero

Before nineteen thirty eight
I was a tree.
My roots went deep in the earthliness of the world
and I was reading its evil alphabet,
the frightening signs of the century
that was about to end.
There was a rooster between my leaves,
or a bumblebee
and not even Tomás Linden
could chop me off with his silk ax
After two thousand eight
I have become a tree again,
with my pulp many books have been written,
books incredible and quiet
as those of Blas Coll.

Come Touch His Cheek | Gary Shulman - Read Poetry Online by Talented Contemporary Poets

Come Touch His Cheek | Gary Shulman

This child of mine you stare at so,
Please come closer so you will know
Just who my child is and what I see
when those sweet eyes stare back at me
I see no limits to my child’s life
Although I know
It will be filled with strife,
I’m hoping that doors will open each day
I’m praying that kindness
will come his way
You look frightened?
You tremble with fear?
Come, come closer
touch him my dear
Touch his cheek so soft
so sweet
Be one of those people
he needs to meet
Someone who will look
and hopefully see
The skill, the talent
The ability
Please come closer
You don’t have to speak
Come a little closer
Just touch his cheek
And when you do
you will see
this sweet, sweet child
is no different
than you or me

Niceties | Krushna Chandra Mishra - Read Poetry Online by Talented Contemporary Poets

Niceties | Krushna Chandra Mishra

To them in courtesy they
told they exchanged niceties
without withdrawing wide
friendly gestures people
expected in all genuine acts
of announced closenesses,
blunders of wayward words
to historical animosities had
turned frustrating people,
their futures, like their ugly
pasts, were to be mortgaged
to bellicosity and bestiality
the brute world was best
to exemplify in its wild ways
and vengeful madness and
mean meaningless poses,
of apt crooked criminalities
captioning them in proverbs
of peace and prayers for the
harmony and progress of
all whose fortunes are tied
to the mindsets of people
who are yet to learn hard
lessons in humanity and its
rights to dream of majestic
millennia of amity and easy
credulity, not corruptible,
in ways even unthinkable.
