The Argument against Spring | Todd Mercer

People who’ve been grown
for decades
can surprise themselves
and fall in love.
By then they know
what not to do.
Get past rookie errors,
then see if love hurts.
It shouldn’t.
Autumn flames burn purest—
we notice it’s getting colder
at night. Even summer
beats the first run through.
