Shrink | JD DeHart

That feeling of smallness,
a circle of seats, each person
carrying their own translation.
I do not know how I appear
in the eyes of another,
twisted and upside-down
in their mind.
So my voice finds its tenor
on the gliding air of a room,
a stubborn refusal to reduce
my own size.
