Malediction | Vera Ashton

My dream has become our curse,
A white dress,
An aisle,
Comfort.
Trapped in a fairy tale that never ended,
Monsters around every corners,
Prince Charming running around corners,
My glass slippers lacerated my ankles.
I turned the wrong corner,
Came face to face with the evil queen.
Her tentacles wrapped around you.
Your hands running through her body.
My dress switched to black.
My soul switched to black.
Then the Cheshire cat appeared,
and I adopted his grin.
