Body, Mind and Soul – A Poem by P.K. Deb

Body, mind and soul–
The three entities of humans
Need to be perceived on the whole.
As daylight, body is comprehensible
All questions and queries are answered
To make mortality duly controllable.
Mind is always capricious,
It wanders, desires and thus disturbs
While wisdom can keep it conscious.
Soul deserves practical thought,
To all saints and beliefs
Immortal it is and reconciled with the God.
Let us define soul with no bias
Behaviour resembles soul- holy or evil
And makes people famous or notorious
Fame and stain reside for ever
In our hearts and bestow immortality
To both soul and behaviour.
