Shall I Fall out of You? - A Poem by Anuradha Fonseka - Dive into the Depths of Contemporary Voices

Shall I Fall out of You? – A Poem by Anuradha Fonseka

I raise my head for you don’t see it moving away from you
I untangle my hand from yours for it is too busy to keep it tight
I step ahead from your world for your steps don’t echo mine
I walk alone for you are too busy to see me gone

I walk ahead to see the sea meeting the sky
To see the rainbows end
To feel snow beneath my feet
And to taste the cheese of mountains

Will you ever miss me?
What if our paths could never be linked?
I raise my head away from you
You can stop me if you need me
