Hope and Aspiration | P.K. Deb

When hope becomes aspiration,
It starts flying in the sky,
Extends wings beyond limitation
And tempts the little hope to fly.

To a wretched, hope is the only pet
To console mind with sweet tune,
It is the last asset to an upset
To revolve his wheel of fortune.

A little hope nests on a poor’s palm,
So easy to bring it under possession
If hope invites, the betterment must come
But don’t bring up hope into aspiration.

An aspiration brings disappointment,
Be-careful, it is a contagious gamble,
Peace is the only piece of hope to indigent,
If lost, hopeless you will be to all.
