Cosmos | Stan Morrison - Appreciate Language and Form through the Best Contemporary Poetry

Cosmos | Stan Morrison

a different sun sun shines since you’ve gone
cooler, more remote, no longer reassuring
in your absence, shooting stars defervesce
san lorenzo in august, gemini in december
meaningless, joyless, tiresome, so boring
seasons all pass without warning or notice
our sun has fatally burned from the heavens
castigating skies sentence me to remember
