Flying above the clouds
Across the stretch of my country
From where I was evicted, catapulted
With the whirlwind of yesterday
And nursed my roots afresh!
I wondered and wished
If my soul could rain down
On the earth below, atom by atom
Acquire a body as before
And lie across, obliterating the border
Even if only for the width of my trunk
And, lie there eternally, forever,
Stone dead!
