Muggy | J. Ash Gamble - Appreciate Language and Form through the Best Contemporary Poetry

Muggy | J. Ash Gamble

It’s too hot in here, I’m
too removed from who I was.
How did the settlers do it,
pushing past sweat
to build walls, and how long
did they live, after all?
I’m coming up on a special
year, probably decades
past what they saw,
and have a rich sense of
living these final days.
