Numb | JD DeHart - Read Poetry Online by Talented Contemporary Poets

Numb | JD DeHart

I do not have the words,
though I have paid for them.
I lined my walls with papers
which say I should know
what to say.
Maybe the truth is so simple
and elusive, I missed it on
the way. Maybe it was on
a waving, blaring, neon sign
several miles back. But now
I’m numb with a wordless
mouth and no answers to offer.
