I didn’t sign up
for moral support
When your point
is erroneous and you
never think
you’re wrong
I’m not here
to be exploited
It’s been over
a year now
You still owe
me twenty dollars

you’re wearing
I feel like a consumer
Everything’s for sale
Even the courtesy
of caring
Having to think
of betrayal
when it comes
to women
is something
I’ve dealt with
But to me
should be
inconceivable
What’s the meaning
of friendship
If it’s rude
and self indulgent
A give or take
relationship
I used to be charitable
I don’t believe
in the contradiction
of friendship
It has no meaning
there’s nothing
to entice me
But I believe
in standards
I know what
it feels like
to be lonely
