The New Normal | Judy Moskowitz - Appreciate Language and Form through the Best Contemporary Poetry

The New Normal | Judy Moskowitz

when the music stopped
a cello lost its bow
the soprano swallowed her tongue
falling to the ground
one by one
two by two
the numbers grew exponentially
the sound of shattered hearts
like broken glass
on a cold floor
when the music stopped
you could hear
high decibels of fear
on faceless people
endless ring tones
blood stained shoes
another new normal
on the dance floor
