Bone on Bone | Judy Moskowitz

Looking into its core
From my balcony
The view is not pretty
I’ve seen it before
Entering and exiting
Taking on different sizes
Different shapes
It does not discriminate
This insidious thing
Weighs heavy on the scale
Glaring back at me
Knowing it’s secret
Is no longer safe as it goes
On a feeding frenzy
Complicated
Like the guts of a time piece
Ticking away
In ritual and repetition
Reflections inside
A cracked mirror
