Proud to Remember | Krushna Chandra Mishra - Dive into the Depths of Contemporary Voices

Proud to Remember | Krushna Chandra Mishra

Proud to remember
Facts of a past very old,
We never had the learning
That memory thrives on,
The erudition that begets
People’s faith in others,
The voice that makes
People alert about
Any message meant
Or served.
Yet,
As time came
And it was our turn,
We stood up in eagerness
And stammered into speaking
Quite clearly and loudly
Leaving the mesmerized audience
Shed for a while the doubt
About our potentiality to
Realize and feel and think
And speak what they in
Their full command of facts
Would not succeed in giving
A good articulation
Till it ultimately dawned on them
That our truth speaks out itself
And their facts with colours and
Sophistication and careless abandon
When given look to be lacking the
Fertile confidence on the platform
Of which surely our words
Were shaped to a stiff cliff
Looking from where was to be
Only precipitous fear in
All gory fear draped.
